Jacki explains where the hamstring and sciatic nerve are, and then shows a great way to gently stretch and release both the muscle and nerve tension.
Many people suffer from tightness in the back of the thigh, as well as nerve tension in the back of the thigh, especially if they have a history of low back pain or tightness.
This is the basic hamstring stretch. See Pt 2 for a more advanced version.
Try this stretch gently at first, if it causes any increased discomfort or pain in your back of thigh, leg or back, then cease immediately and seek further advice.
